Send your requests or inquiries below. I will try to reply to you within 2 business days. Please supply invoice number from purchase if you have purchased Props Animations.

For animation requests, please be very specific and add a link to a video of a person doing the animation you want, if you ask for something like this:

can i get a guy shooting a pistol?

I am not sure if he is using 1 hand or 2 hands, if he is holding it like a cop, or a gangster, or a cowboy etc. Where as if you ask it like this:

can i get a guy shooting a pistol like in this vid http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WbtLFiL4r-I from 0:06 to 0:10.

I will have a much better idea of what you want with your animation request, and it will allow me to get started on your animations much quicker. Thanks :D

Hi is it difficult for you to do animal animation packs?

    • Proportion | December 1, 2013 at 8:12 am #

Hi Damien, I can rig and animate animal characters no worries, I have been doing that for another company for a while now. I haven’t considered doing animal packs because i can’t retarget the motions (eg, only the character modeled can use the animations). If unity ever creates a tetrapod mecanim system, i would definatly get started on that.

sweet what about revive animation that has transition with each those 2 deaths .. when do you plan on updating the product?

        • Proportion | November 10, 2014 at 8:23 am #

          Hi Russel,

You will have to be a bit more specific about the revive animation you require. I have a few various ways characters can get up from the ground. There is an update coming very soon, just waiting for unity to accept it.

Hi Russel, I can replicate the movements they do, but the animations will be based on a fixed position. so you will have to script the positional movement of your character when attacking as it is done in the example shown. Also so that i know which character specific attacks and movements you require animated, i need to know the times on the video that each requested animation starts. You can find reasons why i do things like this in the FAQ here:

            http://proportionalstudios.com/props-animations-faq/

          • russel | November 14, 2014 at 5:31 am #

yes.. i can handle that.. i just want the animation piece by piece..
e.g the attack animation.. it consist on 1.) running towards the target 2.) the attack animation 3.then returning to position.. you get the idea ..

          • Proportion | November 14, 2014 at 6:07 am #

            Hi Russel,

I understand that, but because the video is 10 mins long and has different attacks by different characters I am unsure which action you specifically want. So i need you to tell me the exact attack that you need for your project. for example:

            BaseballThrowAttack http://youtu.be/c0EdX_sHsu0?t=1m8s

This way i know that out of the entire video, this specific attack at 1 min 8 seconds is what you want to be replicated, and i can add it to the queue. I need this for each action you require animated so that there is no ambiguity as to what you need.

If something looks similar to an animation that is already in the pack, such as the runs, i will suggest animations that are already in the pack. If the animation that is already in the pack isn’t what is required, i will need to know the difference between the example video provided and the animation i suggest so that i know what to animate differently.

So if for each action you need you could provide the name of the action, the video it is in, the time on the video it starts and if multiple characters are doing actions, which character you want animated.

            Thanks,
            Prop.

so i list all the animation i needed each for different classes(rpg characters)..
is there a limit on how many animation that we will request?

          • Proportion | November 17, 2014 at 12:16 pm #

            Hi Russel,

There is no limit to the amount of animations you can request, but if you do ask for a heap of animations in a row, it’s best to contact me on skype or email me some details as to your game design so that i have an understanding as to what your using the animations for. Its best to start out with a list of animations you need for a base character so that you can get the character controller sorted for your main character, then get the animations you need for the rest once you have that sorted.

Dear friend, first, my congratulations by the great job with the Props animations. My excuses by the english, I´m from Brazil.
The animations are great, mostly. Problems arise only in those that I attach props to characteres (such weapons, for example). When I do that, the props shift between transitions and dont mach any more to a corect position. I try use IK Script but did not work fine… Probably because my week knowledgement of scripts…
In the game I’m doing, my characters have different sizes, because this is a feature offered to the player.
My question is: What is the easiest way to edit the animations to ensure compatibility in transitions, regardless of the size of the character used? My version of Unity is the free, I use the Playmaker for scripts and 3D Studio Max for some editing. If the suggestion can be something that can be done within the unity itself would be ideal. Very grateful for the help.

      Hi Wagner,

When i animate, i can only animate to a frame rate. When these animations get into unity they can have some funny rotation errors between the frames. If you can let me know which animations specifically your having the issues with i can check over them again and try to fix it on my end. If you add me on skype with the nickname ‘proportion’ I can give you the fixed animation before the next release of the asset. Also, skypes video share can let me see the problem from your end so i can gain a better understanding of the issues your having.

      Thanks,
      Prop.

Sorry by delay my friend, I was learning a bit more about mecanim and retargeting to try not make stupid questions. Well, looking your aswer, I concluded that my question was poor formulated. Let me try reformulate it: I created a empty object in Unity and atached the base character from Proportional pack. My focus was the transition between “WeaponStand” and “WeaponFire”. I put a “M4-weapon” into the sene and adjusted it to right hand of the char. After some adjustment I found the correct position and the animations works fine, with the weapon in a correct position for each new clip.
After that, I bring my game char and put it chiald from the same game object and with the same controler that I used with your base char. I maked the same adjustments in “M4″ and I never found a position that works fine in the transitions. If the position was correct to “WeaponFire” when change to “WeaponStand” the left hand was far from the gun….
Note that I use the recomended process by the Unity to make retargeting…
I´m just a few frusted because my game use a lot of carcters with diferent sizes (diferent hights), and I´m concerned that I can´t use your great animation pack….
Please my friend, bring the light to my road….. Tell me what I´m making wrong ok ?
        A great hug for you.

          Hi Wagner,

It sounds like your not using IK’s. You need a left hand IK point for each weapon. This way characters, big or small will hold items at the same point. This same process works for pressing buttons and picking stuff up.
